How much do you charge?

R1400.00 per one hour session.

Are you contracted into medical aids?

No, I run a cash practice, debit and credit cards accepted.

Can you prescribe medication?

No, this can be done by a psychiatrist or medical doctor.

How many sessions will I need?

It all depends, but it is recommended that you have at least three sessions to experience any benefit.

How often should I see a psychologist?

Weekly is the best, unless there is a crisis, in which case more sessions may be needed. Once you feel stronger, bi-weekly or monthly sessions can be enough.

Will I feel worse or better after each session?

You should feel better, but sometimes you may feel worse because you are dealing with things you have never been able to talk to anyone about.

What is the point of psychological therapy?

It is to assist people to deal with their pain more effectively and not get stuck in unnecessary suffering.

What will counselling do to my relationships?

It may change your relationships because you will change and respond to others differently.

Do you offer couple and family therapy?

Yes, I do.

For couple therapy, should we come together or separately?

It is best to come together. But sometimes, it can help to have a one-on-one session too.

What is your success rate in helping people sort their issues out?

My success rate is based purely on how willing my clients are to work on themselves and on their relationship.

What does it require to make the most of psychotherapy?

Courage, determination and a desire to be the best version of yourself. Also, a willingness to trust the process and your therapist, at least initially.
